Alcove – these are the traditional tubs that have had jets added to them. They fit into a regular bathroom in the same space a normal tub would fit. Usually in an alcove where there are walls on three sides of the unit. The whirlpool bath includes an access panel in the front of the unit for servicing the motor.
Drop-in - these are the specialty whirlpool baths that often come in unusual or unique shapes (like kidney or oval). They are dropped into pre-constructed frames that are build onsite. Typically they are much larger than traditional tubs and require more space. One of the biggest benefits is that the motor can often be placed in a variety of locations.
Mats – unlike the other whirlpool baths, this is a portable unit. It is simply placed into an existing tub to make any normal bathtub a whirlpool tub at the touch of a button. A mat will cost less than other units and you will also avoid installation costs.
